Well, from the variety of real gold/silver jewelry, cosmetics, nail polishes, not to mention all of the models are at least in their teens, I'm pretty sure we know who the new Sailor Moon anime is marketing to! I just hope that the marketing team realizes that SO THEY DON'T NEED TO DELAY THE SERIES ANY LONGER....
It doesn't look like it'll be directed to little girls with dolls and magic sticks, this time. A slightly older crowd, it is, which makes sense with the manga's (slightly) more mature feel.

...speaking of merch, I think it's time to go pre-order those figures! Another point that they are marketing to an older crowd - the figures!

You can barely even see those pendents lol. Definitely don't want to buy those unless they're bigger or they just look better in person and my SM fangirl urges make me buy them regardless.

I hope they will bring back the romance plot with the Shitennou! That plot was very mature (not how they did in the musicals), and I think it could be integrated very well into the anime.

I would like that! I love how the manga plays more on the Silver Millennium lore^^ Back in the day, I played an english patched Another Story rom (before I read the manga) and really enjoyed the idea of the inner senshi all partnered up with the Shitennou. I thought it was something for the game (and kind of sounded like something out of a doujin at the time), until I finally read the books :p

Those necklaces look gorgeous but a wee bit small?

Bah, people will buy them anyway because Sailor Moon, dammit!

Premium Bandai making adult/older teen-targeted items means nothing. Kamen Rider and Super Sentai are aimed toward early elementary school children, and P-Bandai makes adult items for them, too. Adult-sized clothes, the jewelry... adult sized, accurate-to-the-show belts and other transformation trinkets. And at prices the kids can't afford. Marvelous' jacket from Gokaiger was something like $600.

I wish the pendents were just a little bit bigger, but they're so cute! Maybe I need to get a job so I can buy one!

What plot, though? The only thing it has to back it up is a picture of people standing next to each other, plus a couple of mentions of Venus having an attachment. To call this mature is somewhat difficult.
