I love that's it's my favorite brooch, but it's way too expensive for me.

Cute!! I think I like the silver better though the gold is closer to the inspiration one.
The link doesn't work anymore (at least not for a PC user). Wonder if it will be carried by any US-based retailers?

Would anyone be upset if that's proposed as a ring?

My friend got a fancy Hello Kitty ring (like $180) for her proposal ring. She loved it. Her husband then later had a white gold Utena ring made for her.

It all depends on the person's taste in rings. Well for a sailor moon fan they would love it and they would even love it more if it's Usagi's wedding ring. I hope they'll release a brooch soon, that'll be pretty sweet but probably more expensive than the ring. I would get one but, the price and along with imports is gonna be more expensive than the ring itself.

Its really beautiful. The silver one is so much prettier which is great since it has to be much cheaper. Aww I wish I had one.

Depends on the girl. If it was actually real gold and not gold PLATED, and some kind of semi-precious stone and not a swarvoski crystal, I would be pleased.
As is, that crystal is going to fall out and gold is going to get scratched off eventually, which isn't something I would want on a piece of jewelry I plan to wear every day until I die.

For those of you who are interested in getting the ring, it looks like JList is selling them for $280/each.
Also, you can use the ring to make a cast and then have a larger ring created for you. Or you can get a jeweler to expand the size of the ring provided you get the silver version.
