Very interesting concept.
Been waiting a long time for this movie, glad it's coming out this year.
Trailer looks great, reminds me of Upside Down.

Really glad that this finally has a release date. From what I can gather from Yoshiura's twitter, it seems that the first screening was a resounding success and all tickets have sold out of the next one. Can't wait to see this.

Indeed. Finally nice to see a release date for this upcoming film. I also like the premise so will be watching it.

How do ya wear a blouse upside-down? Human bodies aren't suited to be that way. Smile

Although vaguely similar to the film "Upside Down", it *doesn't* have that whole crazy "planets with different gravity" thing.

The 4 part ONA was intriguingly well done; something about an unexplained calamity caused large parts of the population to have reversed gravity or something and the survivors live in an Orwelling regime that says the people who got gravity-reversed were literally raptured away because they were sinners, hence the surviving upside-down people who fled into tunnels underground are persecuted if found.

Plus I'm just plain afraid of heights, you can do things with animation you can't with a film, and the visual is just terrifying from her perspective that she might *fall upwards into the vast nothingnesss of the sky*, until presumably she dies in outer space.

Yeah man, that endless sky above is simply terrifying, it's an ocean of nothingness if you can't find some way to stay planted to the ground.

I have been waiting for this for some time since they teased it long ago.

I thought it had dissapeared totally.

I thought the four-part ONAs were really well done, too, and the direction the plot took towards the end caught me by surprise. Just watched Time Of Eve last evening as part of the local Kibatsu Cinema film festival, and hopefully the opportunity will come up to be able to watch Patema in the near future too.
