Does that mean you can't watch it if you're not a subscriber? Sorry. I'm not very familiar with Funimation's site.

I'm happy it will get a simulcast. Hopefully that means Funimation will release the DVDs too.

here-and-faraway: We occasionally announce things early to our EVS subscribers-- but only the announcement is exclusive to them. Hetalia will be as available as all our simulcasts, including paying EVS members, registered free members, and unregistered visitors. Smile

Despite the wording at the end of of Thursday's Minami-ke: Tadaima announcement ("..., we've got more announcements for you tomorrow!"), the Hetalia announcement today in the EVS forum began with, "I'm back with our final winter simulcast announcement."

I don't think there is much of anything left out there to announce. Between CR, TAN, and Funi, we got pretty much everything this season, which is awesome (even though I don't think it is a very strong season overall).

Funi getting Hetalia isn't any big surprise, either, but it is still nice to get confirmation.

There are only four shows that haven't been picked up: two are five minute shorts, one is some bland action show based off collectible toys for kids, and the other one is based on a light novel which only fans or curious people will be willing enough to search for via fansubs.

So, yeah, nothing really worth waste effort into simulcasting.

GJ-bu and the latest Precure were the only standard length full season non-kids series apparently remaining.

To clarify "kids" series, I'm talking about series with a target demographic even younger than the official one for Precure.

If we come out of next season's round of announcements with so few "remainders", I believe a lot of people will be pleased (although international viewers are much happier when CR announces a title).

I'm actually surprised at the amount of stuff that people are reminding me of here. I guess there is a decent handful of properties that didn't get licensed in some way here. I'm also thinking now of the mainstream-Japan TV stuff that never gets licensed. Overall, I never cease to be impressed with the huge amount of animation that is done every season in Japan.

That being said, as a fan I am very happy overall with all the licensing and legal streaming that is available to N.A. this season. I hope it keeps up like this.

on topic: I will support Hetalia by streaming it and then by buying Funi's box set of the series, like I have done with all Funimation Hetalia sets. (Psycho Pass and Kamisama Kiss are definitely on my "to buy" list as well). Wink
