I'm really excited to see Masako back in the series, since I find her to be a fascinating character. I honestly don't even really dislike her, though she clearly has made some very questionable choices in her life.

As for the rest, well, we'll see. I'm doing my best to go in with an open mind to see how exactly the series sets up its controversial ending, which has to be one of the worst kept secrets in anime fandom these days.

Right up there with the anime ending of School Days and Mami's fate in PMMM.

I've bought the first two volumes. But I'm probably going to hold back on the rest until the series is fully published.

Is there a spell or ritual I can perform that will prevent any and all discussion of the controversial ending in this thread? Maybe I need to hire an Eva and use its AT field.

I want a spell that will prevent any bickering about the ending, not a curse that will lock the thread.

Why should we shirk the ending.

Seriously? Why lead people on that this isn't going to end in a trainwreck?

There has already been plenty of talk about the ending all over the internet. Most people interested in Bunny Drop who reads these Forums (or any other board) would have at least some clue as to what the ending is about.

We should refrain from talking about the ending in the threads of Rebecca's reviews until the final volume. But if you feel that people simply must be told about the ending then make a thread in the Anime Sub-Forum about how you don't like it and think it's a trainwreck.

Anyway, it seems as though this time people are not causing a crapstorm about the ending so maybe most people are as fed up about discussing it as I am.

And yet people are more forgiven in the case of Van Hohenheim and Trisha from the FullMetal Alchemist manga and the FMA: Brotherhood anime adaptation.

By the way, a great review of Bunny Drop!

I don't mind reading about any discussion about the execution i.e. plot of the ending. But I'm just tired of seeing people complain and complain about the subject matter, at least on english side.

It might help if your own posts discussed anything besides the ending. So far, I don't see anything except the beginning of my post that actually addresses the content of volume 7.

I don't think it'll be that long before the manga has been released in its entirety (late summer 2013, maybe?), but I still want to recommend you to just get the next two volumes anyway, if only to complete the pre-timeskip part. It makes for a better resting/waiting spot in my opinion.

I'm also curious if there'll be a tenth volume, seeing as, after she completed what constitutes the "main story", Unita went back and made more pre-timeskip stories starring 30 year old Daikichi and 6 year old Rin. (I've read a little of it through scanlations. Two chapters or something.)

I'm pretty behind with Bunny Drop mostly because I've been reading & buying other things. But I am interested in seeing what happens to Masako and Rin post-time skip so I'll pick up this series again.

You mean how Hohenheim is really spoiler[400-something years old] and Trisha wasspoiler[a little kid when they first met] and (possibly) 20 years old when they Ed and Al? I think the difference is more of "relationship" issue than age. That plus no one want to imagine the spoiler['process' of 19 year old getting pregnant by a living fossil]. :/

Um I think the situations are completely different don't you? spoiler[Yeah he is way older then her, but Hohenheim didn't adopt Trisha and raiser as his daughter. ]

I'm really hoping these stories will be released as well somewhere, even if they have to be put in the back of the other volumes. Does anyone know if more stories are still coming out? 2 chapters obviously wouldn't be enough to warrant a whole separate volume but releases for other series have included side stories at the back of main story releases.

And yes, I would agree that you would be perfectly fine picking up the first four volumes and then waiting for the rest to be released, if only to avoid having to buy seven volumes all at once when it does come out.

I looked for volume 7 in my bookstore the other day but, alas, it was not there. I think I'll wait to see what deals Boxing Week brings, since there are a few other books I would like to get (okay, more than a few!)

It's more than 2 chapters; it's an actual volume with about 200 pages. North just meant (I assume) that he/she had read 2 chaps via scans.

I don't see why YP wouldn't bring it over. Volume 9 is slated for an August release, so we would probably see the last volume somewhere in fall or early winter.
