Since I don't think there is another VPM tv series and not mention in article is that Tokyopop had released on it dvd previously. Long out of print. Unless this is different one. Aminego released the other VPM anime.

This is a really cool old series. One of my introductions to anime. Insta-buy for me!

I'm a little bummed because I bought the OOP set used for a decent chunk of change at the beginning of the year. If I had suspected a license rescue, I probably would have just waited.

Oh, and come on Maiden Japan, pick up Zombie-Loan!

This has happened to me more times than I can count, just not with this particular series. I feel your pain.

Maiden Japan? Never heard of them. But good to see more licensing companies appear.

Maiden Japan is actually a line within Sentai as opposed to a new, independent distributor. They've only put out a few titles so far, like Glass Maiden and Ray.

I am really excited about this! I have been considering buying the OOP DVDs for a while, so I'm really excited that I can get the new, shiny Maiden Japan release instead. Anime smile

Awesome news, I been really interested in watching this series, so now I can just import Maiden Japan's release instead of hunting for the OOP dvds.

They also released Papillon Rose which very few bought because of the many issues that set had from the letterbox video to the TV episodes using the broadcast masters. Source!

They also released Polyphonica Crimson S which was strange because the original season was released under Sentai. Confused

I still think this company's name is funny. Maiden Japan licensing anime made in Japan.
Very Happy

On that note... *watches for streaming news on CR.

Essentially, Maiden Japan's focus seems to be on shows that feature a female as the lead, or at least females are a heavy focus. Miyu TV is an interesting pick for a license rescue, though.

Yes, the common denominator seems to be a female lead/focus with a mystery element. Which is why Zombie-Loan would be a perfect acquisition for them.

Wow, another unexpected license (or, well, relicense). I've been wanting to see this series for a while, but now I'm glad I didn't end up tracking down the OOP Tokyopop DVDs.
