While not a smash hit or anything special, I definitely agree that this series was a funny watch last Spring.

I believe one prevailing theory is that decided to go the cour route, which explains the awkward episode count at 10, plus the way it ends, with a possible second half wrapping up a lot of the issues. I love the show, and worst shows have been given more episodes to do less with.

While I can't really argue with anything Carl said, I did still thoroughly enjoy this series. The ending was a let down, but only because there is no announcement yet for a third season.

I thought Chris was evil. spoiler[She spent her revealing episode torturing Ayumu's class, she abused Ayumu's harem for her own selfish ends and she's a mean drunk. Also, I thought there was a reason she was imprisoned in the first place as it wasn't just a random curse.]

Anyway, no mention of Sarasvarti means this review itself is kind of a D. I can't think of any harem or romance anime where spoiler[ the guy goes out of his way to cater to the whims of the girl who chases him lustily and treats her as a "love interest".] But I guess since it didn't involve chainsaws, it was beneath Carl's notice.

Not enough episodes, not enough of a conclusion; I can agree with that, yes. However, if there's more episodes then this is a plus. A movie could work too.

It was funny, it was wierd, it was Zombie. Also, it was Chris.

I doubt it'll get a 3rd season. It was still 12 episodes if you count the 2 OVAs that the creators count as part of Season 2, and it didn't give the light novels the boost the 1st season did (the only reason it even got a sequel).

It'll likely just be another one of those anime that end up being unfinished and that could have been their goal.. to make people go read the light novels to find out what happens next.

hmmm I didn't expect much from this series, so I got what expected in the end just fun ride with some great characters. I really do wish that is longer than ten episodes with hopes that some ova's will pop up or even a third season .. but that's wait and see at the moment.

@ryan no thanks on the light novel offer, however I might pick up the manga that is being translated/printed from yen press.

Judging by the way she was casually palling around with Eu's mangaka friend at the very end of the series, I'd say she's not really that cruel. She didn't inflict, or even threaten, really, any serious harm on pretty much anyone.

While I do kind of like that it looks like everyone is friends in the end (or will be eventually), it does remove the teeth from the series. Even the villains from the first season were made more sympathetic, despite their murderous inclinations.

Overall, I agree that, while still kinda fun, Of The Dead doesn't measure up to the first season.

@ Saotomeo, like I said worst shows have gotten sequels, Dog Days anyway. How this show got green lit let alone two seasons is beyond me.

Ill take a wait and see approach, maybe when the LN nears its conclusion they might go ahead and do a third season to wrap it up.

But while I disagree with the practice, I am aware that Anime is often treated as a second class citizen in Japan, usually there like you said to boost manga or light novel sales. Its a travesty really when anime is the superior medium to either LN or manga.

Regarding Chris its not hard to look up her bio, she is not really a bad guy per se. There is someone above Dai sensei that I think would be the next villian.

Thats your opinion. In my opinion, Dog Days' is the best anime this season, and its got everything good about anime all packed into one show. The reason it got a 2nd season was because it was aimed at what anime fans want. Well, that and being the Nanoha creators first new series since and people getting super hyped about that.

Season two was pretty rubbish in comparison to the first. I couldn't finish it.
