Yeah heard about this on other game sites (IGN, Playstation Lifestyle, etc...) and knew SE wouldn't do this, they work really hard on this project and just suddenly cancel it, I was skeptic on this info until it got debunked.

Frankly, I find it hard to give a shit either way at this point. Admittedly, I never had much interest in the game to begin with, but I'm under the impression that the people who DON'T feel that way are in the minority by now.

Yeah. The thread title made me think about the last time a company had to insist to its fanbase that it was still working on a title some 5 years after itw as announced with almost nothing to show for it. Note to Square-Enix: it did not work out well for them.

I don't put a great deal of stock in Kotaku's claim that it has been cancelled but I don't put much stock in their assurances that it isn't either. At this point, I'll believe this game is still happening only when we see some new materials released.

At this point I REALLY don't care anymore. Nomura and his team have pretty much spent the last six years playing with themselves, getting little done, if that. I'll start caring when gameplay shows up and even then my chances of interest are dubious

I still have it in my pre-order queue at amazon, perhaps forever to remain?

Sure they're still working on this Versus XIII project, though in the end it's official title will probably end up being Final Fantasy XV.
Maybe we've seen the last of the "Fabula Nova Crystallis Final Fantasy" project though... which wouldn't be such a bad news, if you ask me.
