Man I'm hoping that we get a release of it over here in the US. As of right now I don't think it has been announced for anywhere but Japan.

Whoa, now that's awesome. So will we ever see a release of these types of games? Cool if we did.

I doubt we'll see a US version of this. Remember Namco x Capcom?

How about Cross Edge? More companies involved but went worldwide or Tatsunoko vs Capcom (considering rights for the anime are different by country).

Tatsunoko vs Capcom is not the best example, because most companies that license anime for international distribution don't pick up the video game rights, which is something most people don't seem to realize. I personally asked John Sirabella if Capcom ever contacted them regarding Tekkaman Blade's inclusion, and he outright told me that they were never contacted because they never had the game rights to Tekkaman Blade. Now Samurai Deeper Kyo is something that MB has the game rights to, since they localized the GBA game.
The only issues that came up were music rights, which can get messy in general, and Hakushon Daimaou was not included in the second version of the game because of a licensing issue in Europe, likely a rare case where a company there actually had game rights. This is a very misunderstood thing about games that use animes; for example, we have never gotten a proper Super Robot Wars game (i.e. one that uses actual anime series) simply due to the sheer licensing that would be needed for each series, with the only issue being if a different game company has the game rights to one or more of the series, not because anime companies might have licensed some of the series.
Cross Edge is a fine example, though. You could also bring up Chaos Wars for the PS2.

I'll still stand on what I said. It will be a license nightmare to those who will localize it. Anyway on a personal note, the roster doesn't seem to interest me, the ones on NxC were somewhat better in my opinion.
