Vita has the space to allow them to keep the original game and add to it, whereas the PSP wouldn't (Persona 3 Portable is a great example. Since the UMDs were so limited, they had to redesign the game almost entirely, morphing it into a visual novel when not in Tartarus.) And in the US, the PSP has been a dying console for a very long time. Out of everyone I know who games, only 2 people have a PSP besides me. As such, it's practically useless to design for a system that's now obsolete. |
