Lookin' pretty good so far. Corny title, but this could turn into a pretty good series.
It appears to have somewhat of a better animation budget than Stellvia, at least from this short preview. As always, we'll see what happens when it actually airs.

I'm not quite sure what to think based on that promo. The part of me that loves space pirates is struggling with the part of me that hates schoolgirl shows.

Something about the word bodacious that I don't like.....
Gives off a "shitty low-budget porno" vibe with that kind of name.

Here's a fact. Ex-Megadeath guitarist Marty Friedman is doing the guitar solo for this song.

True that, but at least the promo is emphasizing on the action and not their skirts. It might turn out decent.

Who picked "Bodacious" as the English subtitle word? I am not sure, but going off of Bablefish (yeah I know Babelfish = Fail but I can't read Japanese) "Moretsu" translates as "Fierceness" so wouldn't "Fierce Space Pirates" be better? Though I suppose that might not get across the 'cute girls' aspect but seriously, "Bodacious"? Has anyone used that word seriously since 1992?

Dunno who picked it (but that title is animated right underneath the Japanese title), but it had always been said that Japan is about a decade behind the trends (J-disco was popular well into the 80's), though it's not as true anymore what with the internet keeping everybody up-to-date.

Well this is true, still I can help but laugh, it makes me think of that scene in Fern Gully where Zak calls Krysta a "bodacious babe" and even then in a 1992 film it was supposed to make him look a bit ridiculous.
