Is this what Justin hinted at on an episode of ANNCast? Something about either this or Tatami Galaxy being licensed, but he didn't say which.

Was really hoping it was Tatami Galaxy Sad

Hooray, something for me to buy finally!! Well, I mean, I have plenty (too much) manga to buy, but my anime buying has pretty much dropped to nothing. Completely excited about the upcoming Princess Jellyfish, and now this!! Thanks NISA!

I know this series had a fair bit of buzz about it, so good to see that it'll finally get licenced. Plus, being NISA, you know at least it will come with lots of goodies and beautiful packaging.

Since people mentioned it, I wouldn't be surprised if NISA picks up Tatami Galaxy someday. It just seems like the kind of show they would pick up, you know?

This.

So now I know I can just get Siren's release.

Happy for the House of Five Leaves fans. Hope it sells well for NISA.

Yeah but I like House of Five Leaves too, though Tatami Galaxy was such a unique show I really favor it more than House of Five Leaves. I hope whenever Tatami Galaxy is released it will have an English dub, it be great to hear Ozu's voice!

I really enjoyed this series and will be adding this. The arts a bit different but will grow on you along with the story. Thanks again NIS Smile

well, I think ikillchicken will be happy about this. I know he loves the show, I'm just not sure how he feels about NISA and their way of packaging, etc.

Anyhoo, I tried the first few episodes back when it was first airing in Japan and it didn't grab me. However, I am mentally committed to picking up any NISA premium edition release, so I guess I'll be giving this a second shot.

Well this is pleasant to hear. I watched a few eps back when it was airing and while I didn't get into it at the time, I intended to revisit it at some future date. Just recently I started on the manga and ended up loving it, so this release will go on my "To Buy" list (though I plan to wait for the manga to finish before watching it).

So this comes with an artbook too? Sweet. I've never bought a NISA release before so what do you mean, Blood-, by "their way of packaging"?

They use non-standard sized packaging for their premium editions. I love them, but they drive some people crazy because they are hard to put on shelves that have normal sized cases. I don't even bother, I have a separate section for my NISA premiums. Oh and ikillchicken is not going to be happy about the DVD only aspect, either, something else that I'm fairly noncommittal about.

Ooooooooh, awkward packaging or not (I just flipped my Pandora Hearts release on it's side and it fits on my very deep shelves fine) that is a nice looking release. Maybe I should hold back on the TRSI sales now just so I have some money down the line for this and Princess Jellyfish.

I am very happy about this. I have most of the NISA releases, and this announcement makes me the happiest so far.

This show is a different experience when watched without ad breaks, BTW.

I'm the same way.

This is great news to many fans. I really enjoyed the Funimation stream, so this should be even better.

Oh hell yes.

I love it actually. I'd much rather pay more (within reason) for a nice collector's set and just buy the shows that I actually really like.

No, I don't mind actually. I mean, I'd prefer BD but DVD is fine. Especially for a show like Five Leaves that isn't exactly visual intensive. The only time I really get militant about BDs is when I feel like we're getting screwed out of a BD by some bullshit. I know NISA just doesn't always do BDs so that's cool.

On a different note, I'm not sure if this is what Justin meant on Anncast or not. I kinda took his comments to mean that Funimation was doing a release for one of the shows. With any luck maybe they will be for Tatami Galaxy and this is something else.

This is great news. I enjoyed House of Five Leaves enough, so I'll be buying this.

I'm disappointed though that this was the show Justin was talking about, since I adore The Tatami Galaxy. I'm not giving up hope yet, dammit! Someone! Anyone! I want my Tatami Galaxy Blu-rays.

Actually, all four Blu-ray volumes of The Tatami Galaxy are 40% off on Amazon Japan right now. Great Scott! I am so tempted.
