Kinda of depressing. At least, Squid Girl 2 and Future Diaries made it into the top ten, albeit the bottom half.
Wasn't surprised about Shana from what I have heard, hopefully it shows better than anticipated. The ones that got high marks from the ANN reviewers, didn't fare that well. Maybe things will change once people start voting on the shows that they have actually watched. Though it may just come down to different cultural expectations. |

This poll is no-way truthful to actual otaku population. Lupin hasn't even aired properly yet. It's just 'what animation non-otaku people knows' kind of list.

It's interesting to see the results of these polls, although I usually take them with a grain of salt, as many of the series (Guilty Crown, Last Exile, Un-Go, etc) haven't even aired yet, and I have no clue what type of demographic visits the Goo portal.
Judging from the top rated shows, I'm assuming there were more non-otaku that voted. |

good grief facepalm on age gundam really!? REAlly!? REALLY!? you got to be kidding me besides seeing pic mention etc besides i would have save_US GS era & Lacus to come back to save_US from it.
while rest yea squid, boku wa tomodachi, mirai are top ten. yea majikoi is ok & same with ben-to yea fight for foods but WHAT is on yea c3 is last place & maken-ki not in 25 list indeed yea more eps of it will convince ya to watch them. |

Correct. It's a listing of what they think will be popular. Not what the individual voters want to popular or necessarily like the most and certainly nothing to do with quality since some of this series haven't aired yet. |

Ahh... It figures the 3 that interest me the most (Phi Brain, Horizon, and C Cubed) aren't expected to break double digits. I will grant that the fourth, Mirai Nikki, placed, but ah well.

This is like betting on horses. It's good to see older franchises like Lupin are being the favourite with the normal anime watchers, but I was sadened to see Last Exile so far down, but I usually like to bet the underdogs as the favourites always disapoint me even when they win, but pay squat because everyone backed them.
