They posted a picture of what the outfit was (or at least the general mythbusters twitter did) before he left I think, that would've helped quite a bit.

They give them hints? Well that's no fun. It would be better to just have people going up to random strangers in cosplay and asking them "Are you Adam Savage?". At least then people could have a laugh at their expense.

Well, there is only one thing I can say about that situation:
BUSTED!

No, I'm pretty sure this is:
MYTH CONFIRMED!
You know, since people people found him.

Man, if this had happened at Otakon next week (given how I saw a couple of Mythbusters cosplayers last year, and there's going to be a fan panel at the con next week that is inspired by Mythbusters).

Meh, really don't care, given the show itself pretty much has gone the crapper since they "ran out" of valid myths and resorted to making it up.

C'mon, where's the humor in that?

I disagree. The show is still just as entertaining to watch and the crew still appear to be having a blast doing the myths, even if they have become fan-made.

There's one linked from the article itself:
"Hint #1. My costume covers me from head to toe. Hint # 2. The character I am dressed as ate something that didn't agree with him."

There must have been at least dozens of No Face cosplayers there. There were plenty when I went last year. I'm quite astonished that someone could tell his No Face apart from all of the others.
And MythBusters is still wonderful. It's candy for the intellectually curious, like a physics-themed Imponderables on TV.

Oh Adam you... Yeah I like this show a lot, full of good science and testing if the myth are true or not. This is really unexpected when I heard about it.

After just now getting a whiff of this, I'm tempted to interject an "Am I missing an eyebrow?" joke.
Besides, Adam Savage is awesome no matter what he does. The same holds true for MythBusters, which is one of the few TV shows I regularly watch.
