Anime Expo starts on Friday, so nobody has won yet because there are no current entries. Rolling Eyes

Meant it in the future tense, not present tense.

Whole lotta fail, not too many stand outs. I only like the Ask a Ninja one.

I don't mean to insult the first day cosplayers, but the second day ones are soooooo much better. The Blue Spy with the QB mask, Ayumu, Charlotte, Lucy, and pretty much all the ones I don't know the origins of.

Good stuff this round.

Anime cosplay!

With Joker, South Park, Jack Sparrow and other not-anime things for some reason Razz

I do like the Togechick costume though, it was cute.

I like that you are including all cosplayers, regardless of the origins of their costumes. Jack Sparrow and the Joker look very good, and I love the Avatar: The Last Airbender group with Katara, Aang and Zuko.

A humble suggestion: could you include a tag of the character the cosplayer is trying to represent? Because there is a lot of anime out there, and I don't keep up with video games. Knowing who an individual is trying to look like helps me figure out who to vote for.

Awesome contest, BTW! Very Happy

A lot of characters I don't recognize, but that's not surprising. I will say the Sakura Kinomoto cosplayer has an impressive set of props. I wonder if they are commercially available.

No, not all of them have done a "Good Job." Some don't deserve that praise. Some look sloppy and real hack jobs: others were just plain old poor costume choices that didn't account for certain factors. And I even see one potentially Racially Offensive cosplayer; surprised ANN even allowed that thru.

I just give credit to whomever has the guts to come out in costume, especially if they don't look like the character they are cosplaying. Not everyone can be a size 2 triple D anime babe, but if you like the character, right on!

More credit goes to handmade props and attention to detail. Anyone can buy a jacket and a wig, but Ciel's fancy dress from when he disguised as a girl in Black Butler? That takes work, as does most foam weapons and accessories, homemade mascots, etc.

But I really wish I knew who they were going for in every picture!

Nope those are all handmade even the cards which took about 4-5 hours to make.
