Those characters all look truly original. Like I've never ever seen before.
Nothing quite like CLAMP's template book. |

Because it's a CLAMP design. I wish they would make this series dark like The Last Vampire. |

Hmmm I thought this was a sort of spinoff that didn't feature Saya... guess I was wrong.
So does this mean its a remake of some description? Or is it just set in a different time-frame to either of the last two blood iterations? A pseudo sequel/prequel where Saya looks completely different again for a third time Last edited by partially on Wed May 18, 2011 8:43 pm; edited 1 time in total |

The Blood+ anime series is still my favorite of the franchise, but I'll probably watch this. The character designs aren't bad, but they aren't my favorite.

It's more like Tsubomi dyed her hair, retired being a Precure, and took up sword training. |

Still not sold on the new "Saya". I'm sure their aim was to make her look like the least likely person to be out fighting vampires, but surely they could have come up with something a little less generic than a look usually reserved for clumsy, nerdy girls. Least she could do is take the glasses off when she's fighting, I assume (hope) they're fake.

Hmmm, I don't know. They really didn't show that much footage so I think it's too early to come to any conclusions on this show. Still, I have enjoyed the other "Blood" titles so I'm cautiously optimistic.

would've preferred Eri Kitamura..one of hte most skilled VA's out there. I have a strong dislike for Nana Mizuki's voice. Oh well, doesnt look that good anyway...typical clamp's odd proportions ruining it for me. Could just be the sword being drawn bad tho

Well if the little teaser is anything to go by the series will still have the Blood feel cause just that little bit was bloody.
I like the character design and that it doesn't look like anything else CLAMP has done. @Emerje's comment. Isn't that what Saya always was? A unlikely looking person to be out there doing what she does? Sure in the original she had a more tough and rough look but still would have not been what someone would have thought a hardcore vampire hunter would be. By definition not looking what she does is part of the template for the character of Saya. Those complaining they want the series to be darker just chill and wait. Just cause it looks like this doesn't mean it won't be dark. Dark isn't just a color palette it's a theme. Take Elfen Lied for example. It had quite a bright color palette but was a extremely dark series. |

There's a difference between the Saya from Blood+ who's so average looking she could sink into the background when she isn't killing vampires and Blood-C's Saya who's such a generic bundle of otaku fetishes she can't help but stand out in a crowd. Emerje |

I really wish they could have stuck with a design and kept with it. But CLAMP's design is ok. As long as the action is there I'm down with it. I just wish they would keep with the tone of the original OVA, very dark, and serious.
