It's not anime style - therefore won't be popular here. More Western style actually. If it wasn't a Japanese song, nobody would give a damn. Laughing

More like the possibilities of what his life could be - good and bad. Like a visual novel. Laughing

Well, after almost getting discouraged by @enurtsol I went ahead and absolutely loved his video!

It's not terribly creative but the beauty is the execution, REALLY REALLY well done!

I also don't get the "not anime style" part @enurtsol. Have you ever watched anything not K-On? It certainly is not average, but it definitely have Japanese roots all over it.

Ha, why would you be discouraged......................... unless non-anime is not your style, like I said? Laughing

Didn't say anything about roots, just it's more Western style.
Forget not K-On; I watch all kinds of animation. Have you seen Koji Yamamura's anime? Laughing

Well, I have a stigma on 2D western animation... like, they are all made in horribly mediocre "macromediaflash" style ¬¬ . Absolutely hate the automatic interpolations more than anything else! Don't like to be nostalgic but I miss stuff like Courage the Cowardly Dog Sad

I am not actively following western animation anymore so I might miss good stuff on regular basis, but anything not Pixar/Dreamworks (I've seen a few good 3D animation from others thought... and the last 2D flick from Disney with the frog was GORGEOUS) that come out of the "west" I approach with disbelief.

I believe Koji Yamamura already appeared on Genius Party didn't he? I managed to acquire a few compilations from Studio 4C but without label or anything when I skimmed trough the shorts I didn't take much notice for the directors, but I think I saw his name. I will get around the watch the whole thing again thought, it's pretty awe inspiring ^^

And on the current subject, I've went around briefly on Korekuraide Utau other videos and this last one is clearly his high point (IMO), didn't like the rest nearly as much (thought I have to admit I didn't go trough them all yet).

Hey, at least that's good for having a wider scope of styles.

Yet as illustrated by the lack of other people here, it seems my initial assessment turns out to be spot on. If Makoto Shinkai had animated that music video, guaranteed there'd be more than 4 people here. Laughing
