College K-on! huh. They actually went and did it. I think this whole doing two different series is like a test. Whichever does best is what they will decide to animate next.

College and High School? That's like printing gold money at this point.

I'm sure there are other examples out there, but I'm racking my brain trying to think of another manga that started off in high school and then followed the characters off to college. High school manga almost always end with graduation.

That might cause some hard core otaku in Japan to potentially go crazy, because oddly enough (yes this really does happen I heard) some of them think they are the boyfriends of the cast of that show. Pretty out there, yet it truly does happen.
Heck, I remember when Kannagi was still popular (maybe still is?) and it was reveled that the main female character had a boyfriend, some of the otaku went a-wall and even went so far too burn the manga, anime and any related to the series. Again, I don't in the least understand this (maybe experienced shrink or psychotherapist can) but it is prevalent in Japan.
Makes me wonder though, I wonder if it also happens in the US as well? Probably does, but I can't say I've ever heard of a case of it before.

This is exactly why I hope they get boyfriends.

Here's a tip: its anime adaptation was also animated by Kyoani.

Itazura na Kiss is the most prominent to me. NANA also has a high school to college (to beyond) transition.

And after the college years, they can follow the girls as they become alcoholic office women. Oh the fun they'll have!
