That's it, everyone who purchased this is going on the list of people who are up against the wall once Mad Max Happens.

With numbers like that I guess a second season is on it's way.

Anime of the year? LMAO! These sales are rather unexpected given the 'quality' of this show. I guess as long as animation and character design is pretty, and the show is packed with easily identifiable stereotypes people will buy it... Not that I think any less of it's fans. |

Well, I can just hope that the sales spike for the Manami episode next volume. Never going to happen, but hey, I can hope, right?

Not to mention the Kirino VS Kuroneko anime debate perfectly mirrors all the people who love to bash certain anime (like moe) or defend it. It takes an outside person to step back and go "Dude, it's just anime, watch what you like and move on" like Kyousuke did. |

Japan clearly disagrees.
First they'll milk the franchise as much as they can. It's not every new anime that get so many figures this fast. And god knows just how well body pillows are doing. The planning stages probably go along these lines... "First we'll figure out when the sales will start decreasing." "And then we produce another mindless season with the same shit different day to regenerate our royal dogs' spending incentive." Yeah, but that's just another repetitive follow up.
Anyway, K-ON! is more like Gundam nowadays. Whether it sucks, it'll sell. Much like the way the insurance companies gave up on Vash The Stampede. We're better off calling this an act of god. I watched and liked it, but never though the bloody thing would get this expansive. Second season was pretty boring, though. |

Oh look at us! We don't like K-on!, we don't like Oreimo, we're far to cool to like that wah wah wah. You like anime already so you're a geek no matter what you do.

*Diabolical laugh* Ha! ha! ha! ha! Well at least you admit that you're a geek no matter what you do buddy. Very rare to see someone so open minded indeed. |

I enjoyed Oreimo, K-On!! and Angel Beats! (though in varying degrees). Still, I would love a second season of Oreimo, I'm anticipating the K-On! movie, and maybe that Angel Beats! visual novel will show promise some day.
That said, as far as fanboy anime go, there's at least one other series I feel needs a second season before Oreimo, and it would surly be a bigger hit, too. |
