Finally! So many delays with this contest, but the entries are amazing and the winner will be announced on Saturday!

Definitely quite a few standouts now that I see them all laid out.

Mojgon
Very complex shot pulled off very well.

Mugimaru904
Crisp lines, and I just like the way it looks. Can't remember where take it easy~ is from for the life of me though...

Nicholas Walstrom
Still cracks me up. Laughing

Angela
I don't watch K-ON, but this one still made me laugh. Like the background too.

Megan/nemi
Putting these two together since I've got the same issue with both of them: it's hard to pin down their biggest strengths, since I like the concepts and their execution as a whole.

Zombie Milkshake
The amount of detail here is impressive, and it works really well with the style used.

Arisu Kurumi
Font and background work is really cool here, and I like the depth of the colors and Kirino's pose.

Jenny S./peachbun
Think these might take the cake for "cute". Smile

ARThomas
The colors are great, and so are everybody's expressions. Looks professional!

I think it's pretty obvious who won...

BUT I still really loove these contests and hope that they continue, though I always suffer defeat! I'm technically already artistic, majoring in apparel design with a background in sculpture, however these contests gave me the initial push to do anything with digital art. Hey, this time I even lost my tablet virginity!

I happily surrender my life for a couple weeks to work on my entries. Here's to hoping you get more free stuff to give away in the future! I mean, at least it seems to do it's job. If I had the money to take a trip, I'd probably go to Pop Travel Japan. Poor college student I remain, though...

But did I miss the memo about what's up with the Togainu no Chi side of the contest?

Wow, so many entries! I can tell so many people put their heart into some of these. Even the ones that only look as if it took 1 hour to the ones that look as if they spent 20 hours, both appear full of desire for a trip to Japan.

I remember browsing through all the rules and regulations and the prizes and anything I could possibly read about this contest. Whoever does win would first need a passport, money enough for a week of food in Japan and goodies they'd want to buy, and even take a look on Pop Japan Travel's website to see if they'd want to pay for any of the extras that belong to the trip. For example, going to a hot spring. I hope for whoever does win realizes that this trip isn't 100% free, unless I'm mistaken.

So, nobody had the guts to draw Kirino dying at the hands of her red-handed brother.

So much for artistic inspiration! Einstein must be rolling in his grave.

Mojgon's entry appears twice, just as it should.

Although everyone here draws way better than I can (barely able to write my name properly)

The only one that has some true artistic merit to it (as it could easily pass at an actual Art Gallery) is the one from Chupachup.

The winner was supposed to be announced today. I guess nobody won.

Ah, well, it happens. Better luck to everybody next year.
