In truth, the synopsis makes it look like a silly story that I don't really care for. But because of the fine talent (one of my most favorite at that) directing it, I'm more than curious.

Sound a lot like Professor Layton if it had a school setting and more animeish character designs. Honestly I don't think I've ever heard of any concept like this being done as an anime so I think it's more than worth checking out.
Plus at least it's threatening to try and do something to circumvent the brain-rot in anime scripting and conceptual context as of late by attempting to have an educational or thinkers aspect to it. That earns my support right out of the gate.

I didn't realize Junichi Sato had worked on so many great shows until now.
This looks like it could be fun and interesting. I'm just wondering how many people are going to say that the puzzles weren't complex or challenging enough.

Typo...? xD Just thought to warn yah. I'm a spelling Nazi like that.
This sounds interesting. And heck, it's Junichi Sato. Plus, the character designs in the picture are kyuul. I'll check it out next year~

Agreed, can't wait to see what this is like, glad to see Sunrise taking a crack at something new like this and with a pretty talented team, I hope they add a good music composer on to the team for this to complete a real good set of staff. And I'm already liking that it sounds like from the start they are planning to make it deep enough to support 25 or so episodes, which is already a good sign.
Yeah it does sound like it's got some Layton inspiration with the puzzles and "thinkers" theme. Character designs look really good too (hopefully they aren't garishly colored since we can't tell yet from the promo image, so that we can get a real all-ages show more like Layton with a nice look than a overly-brightly-colored card game/kids show coloring scheme).
Looking forward to learning more about this in the months to come.
