Well, even though they probabally won't read this, congratulations.
Savage Genius did some good music.

It's says that she's going on hiatus from the group, not that the group is disbanding. They might find someone else to sing for them (though I doubt it), but it sounds like she's intending to come back after she's had the baby. Now, she may find that it doesn't work for her to come back once she's had the baby, and she may never return, but she hasn't said that she's retiring, just that she's taking a break.

Congrats. I have a few of their singles. And I must say that I do have that 'Uta~Kata' single by them. Which I enjoyed. Too bad I can't say I enjoyed the series. <shudder>

If one-half of the duo "already retired from the group in September of 2007," then it's no longer a duo is it?

Personally, it already strikes me as a bit odd to have called it a duo in the first place. She's the vocalist; he was the composer, producer, and one of the members of the band. I'd have expected both of them to be vocalists if it were a duo. I guess that it was called that because they founded the group. Still, it's a bit weird.

^I repeat this message. Their music for Pandora Hearts and Erementar Gerad were awesome.

The behind-the-scenes video on one of their albums shows them recording in Nashville. The Americans they were playing with aren't actually part of Savage Genius any more than the multitudes of solo singers out there having backing groups makes them a band.
