I'm really excited for Solanin. The manga is one of my favorites, and I think it'll adapt well to live-action.

Yeah, I think I'll like it better if Solanin gets a live-action film than an animated series/film. It works well. I can't wait.

Wow. I teared up just by watching the Solanin trailer, so I don't think I'll fair well watching the full movie.
Regardless, I am looking forward to it. The cast looks great. Aoi~ <3

So let me get this straight, they get Asian Kung-Fu Generation to perform the music of an indie band? What a load of bull. And nice job giving away the twist not even a minute into the trailer.

The Solanin trailer was more of a plot summary of the whole thing instead of giving a tease of what's to come. While watching the trailer, I suddenly remembered the discussion on the ANNCast a few weeks back about how "Japan loves cry."
I'm not interested in watching the movie. Even without actually hearing the music, the manga is more than enough for me.

I'd rather see Solanin animated, but the movie looks like it could be a fairly good adaptation. I hate that the trailer was essentially a spoilerific plot summary though.

Wow...the trailer gave the entire plot away. Just...wow...and ugh. The manga was so powerful because you weren't expecting something like that to happen.

AKFG is an indie band. Most of their music has a alternative/indie/pop feel to it.
Unless you were referring to not being held by a major label...which I guess you would have a point then.

Geez, super spoilery trailer for Solanin. But the movie looks great. It looks like they did a good job capturing the feeling of the movie. And AKFG doing "Solanin" is awesome!

Wow, I didn't even know there was a Solanin movie in the works. I am super excited to see it. I definitely think it's one of those works that would be better served by a live action adaptation than an anime and it's short enough that they probably won't have to cut too much (unlike what happened with poor NANA).

Wow. Planzet looks fantastic. Well, the characters are still questionable. They didn't really show enough to say. I'm looking forward to it in any case.

I'll add my voice to everyone that is looking forward to Solanin. I don't read much manga, but I enjoyed this one quite a bit. The trailer looked good aside from giving away major plot points.
I don't watch that many Japanese movies, so I can't believe I recognized the lead actress, Aoi Miyazaki, but I'm glad to see her cast as Meiko. I liked her in the first live action Nana film and wish she had been in the second one as well.
