I knew Vampire Knight was popular, but beating out Naruto and Fruits Basket two weeks in a row? That's insane. Now I can see why Viz liscensed the Anime so quickly.

I wouldn't call waiting almost a year after the show aired in Japan licensing it "quickly." In fact I think it was much slower than it should have been, though Viz has always been a bit behind in that department.

Eh, I wouldn't really call it "beating out" when the other two you listed have been on the list for 6 weeks now. Sales are bound to die out. Now if Vampire Knight were to beat Naruto and Fruits Basket with them all coming out the first week THAT would be impressive.

Surprised about Dogs. I thought that one would be more niche.

marie: Seriously. They also blew their opportunity to cash in on the Twilight crowd.

Maybe it's because of the recent OVAs they've been making of Dogs. Anyway this is a highly underrated action manga that definitely deserves the attention it's getting.

It's really great to be able to have a list with only one Naruto volume!
