Why is it so hard for this author to spell iPhone and iPod correctly?

My only problem with manga on the iphone is, from what I've seen so far, it's more expensive than just buying the books. (450 yen for a digital tankobon? really?)

You know, I'm FAR from an Apple fangirl (iPod Touch/iPhone are the only products I actually like), but that irritated the heck out of me too. |

Wait... hang on, are we criticising the grammar (mis-capitalisation counts as a mispelling these days?) of a columnist's rendition of a brand-name that has a gimmick of messing up English grammar?
Is this meta-grammar naziing? And is naziing even a word in the first place? |

Why is it so hard to build iPhone apps? 30 million yen? People are making great iPhone apps in their parent's basement with nothing but spare time on their hands...

I often find myself asking the same question about subtit- never mind. I wish I could get more Japanese apps on my phone. All the good stuff is there. Sort of. |

Because, lack of buttons aside, the iPod/Phone is actually a more capable device than even the PSP in many ways. There's no reason to relegate applications to basement-dwellers' exploits during their free time. The more big name companies signing on to the App Store, the better. |

You know what, you're right, and I apologise for the knee-jerk reaction. I imagine licensing content for such applications probably costs a pretty penny too. |

No worries. =) Apple hasn't done a very good job of publicizing how powerful the iPhone and Touch actually are, only "Look at all the neat stuff it can do!" Which, sure, for the average consumer is just dandy. But for the techie, it's just plain annoying how much they're content to keep people in the dark. One thing in particular comes to mind, in that it's impossible to check your Processes and used memory on the iPhone without a third-party App. It's nice to be able to free up RAM without having to reboot. It's just a real shame Apple seems so against letting capably-minded users actually get full control of their systems. They follow the mantra that as long as it works, their demographic doesn't care how. Also note I'm not singling you out in this, either, more a tangential rant about Apple in general brought on by the topic at hand. I digress. xD |

Is there a particular App. you could recommend for this? I'd love to have it. |

Yeah, it's called, simply, "Free Memory." I think it's either .99 or 1.99, I'm not sure. But not too pricey. ^^

Honestly, I just want to see more anime overall on iTunes. The offerings from Funimation, Manga Entertainment/Starz/Bandai are all... somewhat pathetic.
The only other series I am remotely interested in owning is Death Note from Viz but I've seen that to completion on [as] so... I guess it's expensive to put shows up on there but you know what? I'd bet it'd help the more niche titles sell. Higurashi would probably sell well, Bandai could sell Lucky Star, while not entirely niche it is a more subtle kind of comedy, would be eaten up by the anime fans who buy it 'because everyone does'. Not to mention, stuff like Haruhi Suzumiya. You know, there's something to help out the industry, putting more shows for download to own online. Some of us don't wanna bother with crunchyroll, youtube or whatnot... Hulu is another story though, thank you FUNi for hosting xxxHolic on there, I am absolutely loving it and would LOVE IT EVEN MORE if you put TRC on there. Ah well, rambling now. Summing it up, want moar animu on iTunes. |

Forget watching TV shows or reading manga on that tiny, tiny screen, but if they make so much as a simple clock in that wonderful Battle Display UI, then I will literally throw money at them.
