How did it end so suddenly?

I was kinda hoping for a new anime announcement to go with the ending today, at least an update on the special, but I guess that was hoping for too much.
It was a wild ride that only got more fun as the story went on, though the rushed ending really soured things. Still, I think the finale was what was planned all along even if they used a warp pipe to get there.

I wouldn't call it "sudden", it's been obvious to anyone reading that things have been wrapping up for months now. It's more like the announcement came very late.

While the final arc might have skipped over some fights to reach the ending sooner, this wasn't all that sudden. The climatic battle was satisfying despite what might have been skipped and there was enough time for a proper epilogue.

Goodbye Undead and Unluck, thanks for the wicked sick ride.
As to the final arc, sure, it barreled through things they could have spent more time on, but this series has always had a pretty high pace to begin with, so I didn't mind it going down like it did.

A great, I mean, wicked sick journey from a series at first it seemed doomed to a ecchi-comedy-action. But Tozuka managed to turn into a great action series and Fuuko became an action heroine.
Besides, I wouldn't call it a "sudden" end; unlike other series, there was an end in sight: once the author set how the world worked, he could never make the old, tried, trick of "but actually there was another, bigger bad behind it".

It has been a Wicked Sick ride and one I was always happy to be one and see to its conclusion. I will miss Fuuko, Andy, and the Negator gang.
I can't wait to see what Tozuka does next.

Tozuka managed to wrap it up in overall pretty satisfying fashion, too bad Jump was clearly rushing to conclude it's final arc hence some fights got rushed and skipped and pacing accelerated beyond usual pace - in ideal word when UU is a big seller they would give series much needed amount of time to do it as intended. Still Undead Unluck truly impressed me and it was one of the most unique battle shounens in Jump history, I will miss Fuuko, Andy and whole Union crew.
