I've never heard of this manga, but the characters look interesting! If there's a stream, I may consider watching it. I enjoy Hikaru and Seiya's acting. Also, the actor's name for Zera is Hikaru. Not Hikari.

I can see why this get theatrical adaptation over and over. Personally I think the manga is a timeless classic. The theme about beauty and spiraling madness is timeless. The characters itself are dramatics so its easy to turn into stage play. I reread the manga once in a while to see whether my perspective about certain themes in life are still the same or has changed.

tl,dr I recommend the manga!

Thanks so much for the rec! I'll definitely check it out. It really sounds interesting. I usually end up looking into the source material of a stage play if I wasn't already familiar with it thanks to the actors I really like and this will probably be no exception. lol

There is a Live action movie. Really interesting one.
