I genuinely didn’t know there was a (apparently unlicensed) OVA.

RIP

Yeah that came out to me in the last Discotek stream, that or the one before it. Justin Sevakis who now owns Robert's company AnimEigo asked him about it and he himself said something along the line of "not that good".

I'm glad that Robert and Andrew were still friends. RIP Andrew C. Greenberg

Like I said when Woodhead was in the news, there's not a lot of people who can say they influenced the entire history of console RPGs from Dragon Quest on.

Murder, She wrote:

Greenberg and AnimEigo co-founder Robert Woodhead co-created the original Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord game in 1981. The game's boss "Werdna" is Andrew's name spelled backward.

So is "Trebor" the mad overlord arch-nemesis itself just "Robert" backwards (and thus the relative popularity of the Trebor name in Japanese adventure stories)

RIP Evil Wizard Werdna

As a big Dragon Quest fan this is very sad hearing one of the main developers behind Wizardry (1 of the 2 major influences of DQ) had passed.
