Sounds like a very interesting documentary.

I watched his last documentary before Takahata died and he was already pretty pessimistic: saying that he is a 20th century man not a 21st century person and complaining that Takahata never finishes the movie he began (Kaguyahime Monogatari). Although in regards to The Boy and the Heron, I felt a bit disappointed since it felt like the movie lacked that Miyazaki Magic that characterizes his classics.
