The final episode was actually one of the better ones, if not the best out of the entire series. Things gets fleshed out for a change but instead of a conclusion, we are left wondering.

After pondering about it, I am still torn on whether I want to watch it or not. I'm slowly leaning into "I'll binge it when it's done later next year".

I consider the first season to be very much a waste of potential with some piss poor storytelling and romance so I am not very enthused.

Given leaks, the fact that most sequels announced instantly after S1 airs are basically planned from the start and just marketed as sequels and that this covered exactly half of the finished source story (3 out of 6 volumes, even if they had to rush a lot to do so and make the adapatation horrible and nonsensical), this was planned from the start as a full adaptation of the 6 volumes in 24 episodes. So yeah, to anyone asking: "why a sequel" because it was planned from the start

As a big fan of the light novels I was so dissatisfied with this anime not even sure if I will bother with S2.

I don’t watch this one, but maybe it’s a case where they rushed the first half, and now the pacing will reach a more normal pace?

I consider the first season to have many issues of which the pacing is only one of them. Anything is possible I suppose but the second half being good does not seem likely to me at the moment.

I liked the first season so i was hoping for that, can't say that it was up to the LN early popularity, though.
It would be nice if the sequel LN could be localized too and not be another SukaSuka sequel situation.

I really, really like the two leads but boyo, was that a mishmash of WTFism. As I was reading Rebecca's weekly reviews I got the jist that a boatload of story was waylaid for time's sake. And now this announcement! You think they could have stretched out the story and made it more coherent. I can see the second season continuing the high speed Indy car story telling....UGH...

Despite the issues with the first season, I am still pleased to see it get a second season to finish out the adaptation. That's one hell of an ambiguous plot point to end on, and the much-improved construction of the last episode gives me at least some hope that the series can come together better in the second half.

What in the actual fudge?! I abandoned this show for a second time after the train wreck was no longer entertaining but infuriating. How does this get a second season but Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas can’t get a third season when it is 1,000 times better than this pig slop?! fudge me.

If this was planned to run for two cours from the start, I wish they had spent them all adapting just the first three novels instead of all six. The first season was one of the most incompetent adaptations I've ever seen, with tremendously awkward pacing, characters coming out of nowhere and important moments falling completely flat due to the lack of proper setup.

This was already leaked so I'm not surprised, so while a part of me is happy it will get the complete adaption treatment and they're not going to leave off on that massive of an ending...after how ENGI dropped the ball adapting it with the first act, I can't muster up much enthusiasm for them handling the second.

This series really deserved a better adaption with better care, execution, and pacing.

Maybe they decided to speed run this season because season 2 will be the REAL story? Still its a disappointment because it doesn't make you feel anything for the main cast. You didn't get to see any of their relationship play out or any of the subtle plot points in action. It simply happened our of sight which makes the ending to season 1 feel soulless.
