Shaman King had 20 million hours viewed which is huge. I wonder why Netflix didn't want season 2, unless the production is getting more by spreading it across multiple platforms.

Is Gundam in the data dump or was that forgotten when the writer was looking up shows.

Some observations -

1. You didn’t put down Hajime no Ippo coming in at 80,300,000 hours? It’s a long series mind you and that’s a lot of episodes, but all things considered, this 20 year old series, despite not being available in the US, got more views than every season of Community combined, Arrested Development, combined, Supergirl, combined, and doubles the entirety of Legends of Tomorrow. It’s enough to hope that Netflix commissions more seasons. Not that they’re lacking for material.

2. The data only covers the six months, which can skew some of the titles depending on when material came out and what’s available.

3. Demon Slayer’s first season came in right at the tail end of the Top 100, beating out That 90s show by about 700,000 hours or so.

I'll check with the writer on this.

The numbers listed in the article are exactly the same for One Piece and Pokemon. Are they both correct? Seems oddly coincidental if not!

You also forgot to add Vinland Saga Season 2 for Not Available Worldwide list. It's number 262 on the list with 55.100.000 hours viewed. And Hajime no Ippo aded to the wrong list. It's not available worldwide.

It is. I did not forget it, it was just grossly overshadowed by the other franchises I chose to feature.

1. Hence why I went on a bit about why Netflix did not put in a genre column, because it was all too easy to miss something like Hajime no Ippo.

2. Exactly why I wanted year-to-date data in the next drop.

Very strange, again why I advocated for a genre column to be added to the next drop! When all the data Netflix gives you are the 'ratings' (i.e. the hours viewed in total), whether or not it is available worldwide, and some truly unnecessary data, complete with 2 blank columns that made the data 'look' pretty, it is not fun. The data is by no means comprehensive, and I own that as the author of this article.

I'm surprised that Vinland Saga season 1 is as high as it is, given that it is available on three other platforms. Granted, Hidive is extremely niche, but Amazon Prime and Crunchyroll have a high number of subscribers.

Like you said Hidive is very niche. For Amazon, yes there are a lot of Prime subs but not all of them use Prime Video. Their UI and algorithm is sucks. And they don't promote anything except a couple of their big originals. As for Crunchyroll, they might be the biggest anime-only streaming service out there but compared to Netflix they are still very small.

This makes me think that Spriggan didn't hit very hard on Netflix. Was hoping for a Season 2...

I wonder how the JoJo data is listed separate by arc, because to my memory they're not listed as separate shows, just one show with the arcs listed as separate seasons.

I'm happy Record of Ragnarok is getting some respect. I still believe the manga is better due to pacing. However this season 3, is going to be LIT!

Also, how is grandpa Naruto Season 1 still pulling in those views? It shouldn't be able to break top 50. Like holly, that is scary. I think this is why they call it the King of Anime.
