I hope he finds courage to write the ending that he wants to write instead of pandering to fans! Even if us fans come to hate it!

Damn. The fact that he felt like revealing this. It is appreciated since so many great creators have passed away without leaving anything behind. Good on Togashi to think ahead. "Ending D" (I feel a certain way hearing this due to being a spoiler[Drag-On Dragoon] fan) is interesting showing the son is like the father (I hope people know what I'm referring to because you should if you read/watched it). It would be cool if all the endings were released just to see/hear how each end.

Quote:
Gin reveals she doesn't want to become a hunter because of how often her grandfather Gon left her grandmother Nouko alone at home due to his adventures as a hunter.

Nouko as in "that" Nouko? If Togashi is revealing the name (with the same characters as shown in the source) then it must be her. But this is just 1 of many endings so.....

Quote:
He believed readers' reactions would be 80% positive on ending A, even split on ending B, and 90% negative on ending C. (He qualified that he does not personally think ending A would be highly rated by readers, just that it would be the "safe," noncontroversial ending.) Despite the overwhelming criticism he would receive from fans, Togashi personally preferred ending C out of the possible endings.

Chaos is not a pit. Chaos... is a ladder.

This news makes me think back on all the endings from Togashi I've read. They all tend to be weird and not exactly on the satisfying side.

His description of this 'Ending D' kinda feels like this.

One of my favorite things about Togashi is how he follows his instincts and does what he thinks is right with the story even if that will make readers upset, so I hope he goes with ending C.

When I first heard the original ending for YYH I was like "oh thank god they did not go with that" but after thinking it over in hindsight "you know that's a funny and original ending I like it now". Go with your heart Togashi-sensei.

I wouldn't mind this ending. A broken cycle instead of a cycle that repeats endlessly. Interesting.

I'm glad he's not going with Ending D, it seems like it ignores all of Gon's development throughout the series just to land on "Gon grows up to be a deadbeat because that's what his dad was."

Also, he marries Nouko? A character so insignificant that she only appears briefly in the very first chapter and then is never seen again? This feels like it would only have (barely) worked as an ending if HxH had been cancelled very early in its run.

I don't have much of an opinion on the ending but the context behind why he revealed it is just terribly sad.

He is probably never finishing this manga, so revealing the endings is very nice of him for the people who care.

I love Togashi's works so I'm sure his ending will be the perfect one. If he wants Ending C to happend, then go ahead!!

My guess with ending C is spoiler[that everybody dies], (dunno if this should be tagged, but oh well) because that is a sure way to anger fans. But if it's warranted in the story, I don't mind. I had enough of second generations or dragging the franchise until all the fun is exhausted. It is a bit morbid that Togashi has come to this point, but at least we know how thoughtful he is about his series. I still wish for his good health regardless of how the series will go.

We know that he has health problems, that as a result make it very hard for him to work on the Manga. But this is the first time, at least as far as I know of, that it was life-threatening.
