I was hoping ANN would review this game. By the way, the company that developed this game was done by a studio in Portugal, and published by Square Enix (hopefully this game would get an anime adaptation).
That's what I like about this game when I watched the trailer, the use of 90's anime artwork (including character designs) and aesthetics. It brought back memories of watching anime from the 90's, and it kind of reminds me of those SEGA CD and SEGA Saturn JRPGs from the 90's: So yeah, I think that's why this game is probably getting attention from both current fans and people who grew up watching 90's anime and playing those 90's JRPGs from that era. |

I never played Pocket Mirror but my girlfriend absolutely loves it and she was very excited for this game. I'm glad it lives up to expectations.

This reminds me of the sort of JRPGs you would would see on the Saturn, likely Japan exclusive. The large Anime sprite work is ripped straight out of some adaptation of a Shojou Anime. People in the comments on the trailer said it looked like it was inspired by 90s Anime, but for me it did look more like the style that was seen in Saturn and even some Mega-CD Video Games, which often felt more exaggerated.

Did the reviewer not have a controller

Lots of people don't. Knowing that keyboard controls can be clunky is important, specially for people who prefer to use keyboard over controllers. Ensuring that keyboard controls work is also important when it comes to PC ports. |

I've been really excited for this game, but hearing the nighttime segments are quite difficult makes me a little nervous. I'm pretty inexperienced when it comes to that type of gameplay, and I'm worried it'll ruin my experience. I will be playing on Switch though, maybe it'll be better that way?

Does it work with a controller on PC or is the keyboard the only option?

It works with a controller, so if you have one, no need to use the keyboard commands. @OtomeGay I do think the Switch will be more responsive, or at least give you a little more maneuverability, especially if you have fine motor skill issues like I do. |

I've been hyped for this since first coming across the trailer on YouTube and loved the 90s shoujo anime vibe and yuri routes so I'm glad this turned out well.
