I hope the next actual true mainline game gets announced next year.

Atelier fans are acting so spoiled. You almost always get 1 game per year and in 2023 you got TWO games with Ryza 3 and the Marie remake (three if you count the translation of the original PS1 version of Marie). The mobile game looks very high quality, why are you so impatient? Fans of other franchises sometimes have to wait 5+ years for each new game, while you're complaining after getting two this year alone.

I don't think it's impatience so much as disappointment at this being a gacha game labelled as a mainline game.
I know I personally would be happy to wait for a new atelier game since I have heaps to play. But I'm sad that the new mainline franchise is this, because gacha games don't have much of a lifespan and especially not the English versions. Plus, I want to be able to play the game however much I want, rather than have to wait for energy to recharge or only be able to progress by gacha-ing heaps or something.
I can't speak for garfield15, but my understanding of the comment is that this game is not really "mainline" material. Plus, they're saying they hope it gets announced, not that they hope it comes out then.

Those are valid concerns, I can see where you're coming from. I feel like them saying it's the next "mainline game", is just marketing hubbub, though, and probably isn't something that should be taken seriously. Odds are, we'll see a console release for 2024 as well (Hopefully an Ellie remake!)
I think the mobile game is neat for the fact that it's bringing back so many characters from the older games that have never had such high fidelity models before. I've only played a couple of Atelier games, but the existence of this game makes me want to play all of them so I know who all of the characters are.
You're right, unfortunately if we do get an English version it's likely to shut down within a year or two. Who knows, though, the Atelier series has grown quite a surprising following in the west and with the game's impressive visuals, it could even draw in a decent amount of non-fans. It could last longer than we'd expect because of that.

Yes, that's for sure. But it’s better to wait 5 years and a really worthy toy will come out.
