Hahahaha. Yeah, it’s so odd that it took this long to fix his name lmao
I feel the stuff with Challe and Bridget was resolved pretty quickly?

I agree, and I'll be really interested to see how it plays out in the original novel. I suspect Challe was working behind the scenes before Anne's arrival, because even Bridget's bedridden dad was aware that things weren't right. (And I doubt Bridget's just going to give up so easily...)

It's kind of funny how the cliffhanger was so dramatic and heartbreaking and then the new season wastes no time reuniting Anne and Challe while also undercutting Bridget at every turn.
But hey, Anne has been through enough as is. And she finally has men who are willing to work with her and don't immediately dismiss her for being a woman!

So you think Challe would respect Bridget's demands if she was a man. I am dead serious, the way the men look down on women in this universe (I am surprise the men show the queen any respect) is so over the top.
I know the fairies being treated as lesser is suppose to be seen as bad, I am not sure about the sexism. No one has been called out on it.
I hope Jonas is stuck in a ditch.

Pretty sure the answer is no. Challe has shown himself to be a pretty equal opportunities misanthrope. He hates all humans except Anne.
And I'm happy enough with the immediate disposal of the separation thing. It's a plot device that can get dragged out unnecessarily to the detriment of a show which is chiefly about the chemistry between it's leads. And it's not like all the obstacles are removed.
Does Bridget deserve a 2nd chance, to be saved by Anne? I kinda feel women in the sugar business need to stick together, and she's clearly had a pretty terrible life so far. But also: she's awful.

So you think Bridget is the one that beat up Elliot? Physical she shouldn't be able to, but if she was drinking, we seen her drunk before, never underestimate the power up of alcohol.
Anyone notice now that we know of Orland's history with Bridget, how much he looks like and his personality is not that far different from Challe, now I think might be getting Bridget obsession with Challe.

Elliot seems like a real piece of work who I don't trust at all. Most likely it's whoever they owe money to (or who Elliot borrowed money from behind Page's back).
But I also wouldn't be that surprised if it was a scheme to stop taking part in the competition, because he rubs me the wrong way something fierce.

Well beginning Anne scolding Elliot "why didn't you tell your opinion", I think that translate, "Idiot say something, you are a man he will listen to you."

Glen is kind of stuck in his ways and unintentionally emotionally broke his daughter, but he seems to mean well and is fairly reasonable otherwise. Especially compared to other people Anne has dealt with.
Bridget basically feels like Anne if her parent denied her dream.
Dang it Mithril, we were this close to Anne and Challe kissing! Though I guess now that they've come this close, it's got to actually happen at some point, right?

Honestly I was thinking there was some kind of love triangle drama going on between Bridget, Elliot, and Orland with the way Orland talked about how close he and Bridget were as kids.
Not that I think he attacked Elliot though.

Yeah, I noticed that too. She got a twofer in taking Challe, getting back at Anne for doing what she hasn't been allowed to, and getting a lover who's the next best thing to the man she's actually in love with. I don't think she's all that keen to marry Elliot.
I had kinda pegged Bridget as simply wanting the prestige of being a Sugar Master, but despite her despair and anger, she was still unwilling to destroy Anne's sculpture. That tells me that her love of the craft really is heartfelt.

Who would want to marry Elliot? Yeah and if we get back to the previous poster said Bridget is Anne if her parents crushed her dreams, I guess Elliot is her Jonas.
And if we get back to Challe, if Challe is just a sub for Orland, Challe is not that different from Bridget, isn't Anne just a sub for that girl that died, Elizabeth I think that was her name.

The way I think this arc should end, is Anne does get Glenn to change his ways, Bridget does get a chance to achieve her dreams. At the end, she thanks Anne, and they shake hands, before or after the handshake, she warns Anne you have another rival and hope she doesn't regret it. Like something out of Pokemon.

Quote: | According to the younger man, Glen was opposed to Bridget learning the craft because as his daughter she'd then have to inherit the entire workshop, and he didn't want to put her through the sexism she'd face. But that doesn't quite survive the sniff test – isn't she marrying Elliott so that he can take over as head of the workshop? Why would she, knowing how to make sugar confections change that at all if the only thing Glen's worried about is sexism? |
Honestly that isn't what I got from the scene, not mainly at least, but rather that he wanted to save her the suffering of being in charge of and responsible for a sinking ship.
So instead he inflicted other kinds of demoralizing, self-esteem destroying pains upon her.

When I first heard it was fairy that was the attacker, I thought dam Celthy is stronger than she looks, okay just kidding I know Jonas was not behind it.
So if this guy is telling the truth that is a free fairy and no one is controlling him, still doesn't mean that Radcliff is not behind it, he seemed legit surprise the Page House made it, so that doesn't mean this fairy is above taking a payoff.

Just had to say that the artwork quality continues to be impressive and quite a twist that the snow tree initially looked so different from the way it appeared in the workshop. But, as any artist knows, lighting can make a piece (*cough*Thomas Kinkade*cough*).
Unfortunately, we have too few clues and too many potential culprits at the moment to productively speculate on what is going on with the attack. However, it seems odd that the attacker was so non-specific on the target that they wouldn't just go for Anne as the one resident sugar silver master and indeed attacking Elliot displayed an almost shocking lack knowledge. If the perp were any of the "usual suspects" that shouldn't be the case.
