Well this was nice while it lasted, at least the author knows when to call it off before it got stale.

I just wish... spoiler[They had become a couple a bit earlier and we got to see many more chapters with them being one.]

I think a simple story like this would lose a lot of its charm if the MCs made it to HS(especially if they went to different schools), so I think ending it here makes sense.

First Kimi wa houkago insomnia and now Suki na ko ga…, two of my favourite romcom manga of the past four years finally ending. I fear Teasing Master Takagi will be next, a manga I‘ve been reading since eight years now. I know it makes sense to end a romcom when the main characters graduate from junior high school, but still…

Because everyone knows what happens next and that isn't as interesting as how they got there? Plus, the writer might not be creative enough to think of an equally engaging set of events for afterward? Confused

With Takagi you at least have the consolation of the "sequel" manga having been going for years as well.

But yeah, no real surprise that this was ending, clearly been working that way for a while.

As to why things end when they do? mostly because that's how this flavour of manga works, we are here for the cute, little by little growth, and the happy ending. No one wants the story about how they broke up a few months later and never spoke to each other again.

Oh, I‘d love to read such a bad ending since I also like more adult seinen romance manga like Boys on the run. Smile

@Hiroki not Takuya

The Dangers in my Heart is a good example of a romcom which is still refreshing to read after spoiler[the main characters confessed their love for each other], thanks to some clever ideas by Sakurai Norio.

Im just kinda tired of the same exact thing from romance manga. I find the actual relationship to be way more interesting than how they get together. Kaguya-sama did it very well outside of the final arc. Authors just lose creativity I guess.
