Why do you think the second part of season 2 should be called season 3? Anyway, whatever anyone calls it, I'm happy we won't have to wait long.

It was obvious it was going to happen - too many strange things going on
Would have been REALLY mad if they had left college arc just as the shit was starting to hit the fan

It's still season 2, it's just the continuation. I'm 100% certain it will start at episode 13 too.

I was kind of hoping/expecting a second cour for season 2. October is looking good with this, more Dr. Stone, Eminence in the Shadow season 2, Spy x Family season 3.

Knew it would be a split cour. College Arc is incredibly long and the first part also skipped stuff like Simon’s backstory

Think of it this way. This was planned but they just didn't announce it until now. Also, this way, this anime doesn't have to sit around waiting for someone to renew it for a third season. So you could say that because of this split-cour season, we're getting more episodes sooner rather than later.

With the pacing of this season I had a feeling it was going to be a split-cour, but happy we won't have to wait long for it (and October is a fitting premier month).

I’ve been worried all throughout this school arc that her younger brother and dad will turn up. That would be a massive gut punch go Chise. Still might happen as i’m sure the suthor hasn’t forgotten them.

yes I wonder when Kore Yamazaki will come back from hiatus...
Maybe she's using the broadcast as a reason for a break and will resume the manga once season 2 has finished broadcast in December ?
Reminds me I need to sit down and read Ghost and Wtich too...
