The anime left a lot plot threads open, and the last few episodes teased some potential future developments. Looking forward to season 2!

As a big fan of the light novels I am so happy how to see how well they adapted the first 2 volumes in the anime. Volume 3 is my favorite so I cannot wait to see it animated.

Good. The first season seems to have been well received. I personally want to see more as well.

Would have been shocked if a second season wasn't quickly announced. A continuation is very welcome, as the first season was great and yet still left open a lot of potential directions.

Nice, very happy to see it get announced so soon. The fact that there's footage hopefully means it won't be too long of a wait (presuming they didn't make it just for the announcement, which would be unusual).

Something tells me it is airing in Fall of this year because the first season was only 20 episodes long, and I think it is viable to have another 10 episodes ready if it 1cour long.

I don't know that I'd necessarily expect the next season to only be 1 cour. There's certainly enough material left for another 20 episode run -- though that would likely wind up outpacing the English LN translations, which are only up to volume 5 iirc.

I'd say it's probably the best LN adaptation we've seen in a long time -- freely rearranging material, cutting some bits, massively elaborating on others, all to tell the best version of this story it can.

I can't help but wonder if maybe folks wouldn't be so sick to death of the modern Isekai Anime if more adaptations were approached like this one.

I also can't help but wonder at how horrendously awful the Eminence anime would be if they'd tried to adapt each novel into 3 episodes as per usual. Can you imagine? Oof.

While I agree this one does it very well, I wouldn't rank it above 2021-22's 86, which was an adaptation masterpiece in every sense. (It's my current best-ever pick in this category.)

If it sticks to the same pace of 10 episodes a volume then a 20 episode length wouldn't be an issue for the English LN readers.

Yeesssssss!

I agree, I have been reading the light novels and I have had no problems with the anime adaptation. Really wish that Afureta had followed this path.

Cheers to more Eminence!
