This is the most positive review of Dawn Fall I've ever seen. How does it feel to be the internet's biggest fan of the series?

If there's one thing people love more than BRS, it's mocking BRS's cheese. But come on, this is a franchise based on a twintailed bikini-clad girl with a cannon twice her size, stories based on it are over-the-top and ridiculous and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I really loved this iteration's Strength gimmick.

I think it was ten years ago when I asked a friend what made Black Rock Shooter popular. He stammered a bit before saying that people basically really liked her design. Sorta like how people like how Hatsune Miku looks like, but with the addition of a giant cannon.

Fast forward to now, I guess people still like her just for her design.

I've only heard bad things so this review surprised me, maybe I should give the show a chance

There were a lot of, uh, questionable choices made for this series, but I did enjoy the overall story of it. Definitely better than the BRS anime from ten years ago.

This was a good anime. I played BRS: The Game and this anime takes some of what the game had and does its own thing big time. Its certainly got one thing I didn't care for, the entire Smiley content. That aside, its a good anime. Still hoping we get another season someday... spoiler[where as the other BRS anime had their ending, this one both ends and yet doesn't properly end at the same time.]

U should, decide for urself if u like it or not. Sadly a LOT of fandoms and people now a days in both anime and games just tend to hate on something for the dumbest thing ever. I also wouldn't be surprised if most of the haters never even played the BRS: The Game too since I saw many times plenty mocking the setting and plot and saying "This isn't BRS" when guess what, it actually is and was done b4 (but very dif) about a decade or so ago on the PSP. It was released in English in the US too. Having beat that game and fully seen this anime, I can say both are BRS including at the core of the message each iteration in anime and game form has tried to convey. Anyway, if ur only exp. is with the past two anime the series got, expect this to be very dif from those but its still BRS.

Of all the anime adaptations, I think it's the best one, despite the flaws (mostly the non-ending). It's also the closest I got of an anime version of BRS The Game, so in the end I feel satisfied.

It's also much, much better than the original OVA and the Mari Okada-written TV series (she's a talented writer but in the case of BRS her use of melodrama backfired spectacularly to the point the story at times - IMO - became unintentional comedy).

I quite enjoyed the original Black Rock Shooter OVA, it was a fun small story. The Anime TV show was hit and miss, great OST, good visuals, Okish fight scenes and a decent melodrama narrative. I would like to give this one a shot, but I don't think i can get over it looking like something someone throw together in Unity.
