What a bizarre looking game. It appears to have none of the bombastic, highly sexualized gameplay the original trilogy is known for and instead is focused on...the characters? Who is this for? Surely there aren't that many hardcore Bayonetta fans clamoring for an origin story? Or am I wrong?

This looks utterly adorable! And fitting for a young Bayonetta game.

Actually in Bayonetta 3 ( you have to buy a certain item and find 3 keys scattered throughout the levels) there is a small demo you can try out of this game, with a mini teaser , although some assumed it to be dlc , didn't think we'd get a full-blown game , I do like the aesthetic and given the info of spoiler[Bayonetta 3's Cereza is tiny Cereza from Bayonetta 1 grownup] I'm all for it !

You pretty much laid down the backhand pretty strong with this comment. Not to mention that even though the fanservice and corny dialog is a big staple of the games people do care about the characters too.

Bayonetta isn't a titty game like Omega Labyrinth or Moero Chronicle. Yes, they're filled with sexual imagery, but a lot of people also play them for their gameplay, characters, and story. To be fair, there are people who play the games just because they want to see Bayonetta undress, and those people are probably going to be disappointed here.

Personally, I think this looks great, possibly the most interesting thing to come out of TGA this year.

Maybe it was originally DLC, but they decided to release it as a separate game.
