Looks like it could be a fun one! The Opening has a nice beat.
Mikakoshi playing a boyish girl, as to be expected. Looks like Agate might be the MC's love interest? Or just an idol he fangirls over...yet also sees casually, apparently. |

Narou spreadsheet updated with all today's news.
Of the 11 Narou anime starting in January, here's how the known start dates break down: Thursday, Jan 5 The Iceblade Sorcerer Shall Rule the World Friday, Jan 6 Farming Life in Another World Endo and Kobayashi Live! The Latest on Tsundere Villainess Lieselotte Saturday, Jan 7 Saving 80,000 Gold in Another World for my Retirement The Slow Second Life of the Retired Dark Soldier in His 30s Monday, Jan 9 Reborn to Master the Blade Tuesday, Jan 10 Apparently, Disillusioned Adventurers Will Save the World And I believe Absurd Campfire Cooking Skill, Angel Next Door, Strongest Exorcist Tensei, and The Magical Revolution of the Reincarnated Princess all still have unknown start dates. I was curious enough to look it up, so here's how much advance buzz they're getting as measured by member count on MAL:
So, uh, people really like their hyper-idealized teen romances I guess! (Also this doesn't count the sequels to The Misfit of Demon King Academy, Bofuri, By the Grace of the Gods, or The Fruit of Evolution. Adding those in, we'll be getting almost twice as many Narou anime airing that season as there were 1970s super robot anime airing at their late-1976 peak.) |

Slightly off topic, but I thought at first this was about some surprise new Fate/Grand Order project because I saw the thumbnail and saw the dude and swore it was Arash.
In any case, it could be interesting depending on how they handle the characters I guess (obviously). I suppose what I should say is that there is a lot less wiggle room, in my view, with how to handle the characters when you have a setup like this as it's too easy for the story or the characters to get bogged down in annoying or dumb mechanics to force the story along. |
