Why are they just announcing the show if it's set to premiere in barely two months? They're already doing Vinland Saga for next season, and since they took over the project from WIT, I think it's safe to assume it is also being made in a terrible schedule, like with Attack on Titan. Does Ohtsuka think he can keep getting away with exploiting his employees like this if he just adds a few vending machines and a "game room" to their office buildings?

I don't know what's more annoying, anime fans complaining about isekai or manga fans begging MAPPA to do their favourite series justice/give it a remake.

Yay! Can’t wait to see best slime, Sui animated!

I’m kinda worried that they’ve just announced it when it’ll be airing this January…

Wow i was wondering why the anime wasn't announced yet, seemed like it was long since in production Smile I've only read the first 5 volumes but it was pleasant enough, it might be a good time to continue.

This is all fine and dandy. I'm just wondering when Jigokuraku is coming out, and what's taking MAPPA to release some information.

Frankly, as someone who loves Jigokuraku and has been worried about its potential treatment at Mappa, at this point I don't even want it to come out until Mappa is done with the glut of shows they're apparently murdering their animators with. I don't want it to be sacrificed for bigger name hype shows like Jujutsu Kaisen or Chainsaw Man and whatever else they have in the pipeline. :/ So I just want them to take their sweet time with it instead of rushing it out and making it mediocre.

(I already wasn't hugely impressed with the trailer, lots of animation cuts and just general lack of creative vision that would be absolute key with a show like Jigokuraku.)

The anime will premiere on Tokyo TV and other channels in January 2023.

Okay, so are you talking about TV Tokyo, or Tokyo MX?

MAPPA, take a break. Please take a break. I don't know what's happening behind the scenes, but I'm so concerned for the staff. I know I can't do shit about it as an average consumer, but I can't help but think about it when I watch MAPPA's shows.

I feel like this says more about Overlap being given an opportunity of a lifetime to work with MAPPA, than it does about MAPPA working on an LN adaptation for the first time. Not disagreeing with you at all though.
