Sure they can sell it at that price. Doesn't mean it will sell well.

One of the things I see people say is a positive is that the swappable sticks makes for an easy replacement if it drifts. But, apparently the Dreamcast used a system of magnets for its stick that meant no contact that wore it down and drifted. I'd much rather buy a controller for $200 and know that it won't drift, than pay another 10% of the purchase price to buy parts. Then again, I'm sure people would call them on it if the standard, potentially drifting, controller is $70 and one that didn't drift cost almost 3 times that. Not to mention, that could be taken as the company admitting that drifting is a problem without outright saying it. Considering Nintendo is still in a class action suit over it, I'm sure somebody at Sony decided that pretending the problem doesn't exist is the way to go.

I'd rather buy a Switch Light or put that money towards a Steam Deck.
It should be noted that the PS5 controllers drift too along with the Xbox Series and is just not limited to the Switch. Your best bet these days are amazingly 3rd party controllers. I'd recommend 8bitdo's Pro/2 lineup for Switch and PC. For $200 that controller better make me a sandwich and/or be very handicap friendly like Microsoft's Xbox Adaptive Controller. That one and the Steam controller have worked wonders for my disability. |

GuliKit KingKong 2 Pro controller uses that system, the cost it's $70, though, its for Switch and PC so would need a dongle to connect to a PS5, though, it's way cheaper than $200. Dunno if I am allowed to paste links here but, here goes a review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NfvzoDpcSM&ab_channel=ShortCircuit |

all controllers drift eventually. It's why a lot of games build in compensation for drift. |

Not quite. All sticks with potentiometers drift eventually. However, there are also Hall effect sticks, which use magnetic fields. These don't drift and have no deadzone. These are the sticks Greed1914 talked about. |

More of a may if we’re including every video game controller made since the 70/80’s. |
