Very interesting that I came here specifically to see if More than a Married Couple had finally been licensed by Crunchyroll. Looks like I got what I wanted!

Still one more spot left. I wonder if it's going to be:

Eikyuu Shounen: Eternal Boys
Cool Doji Danshi
Aru Asa Dummy Head Mic ni Natteita Ore-kun no Jinsei
Arknights [PRELUDE TO DAWN]
Boku to Roboco
Reiwa no Di Gi Charat

Megaton Musashi isn't getting licensed (again) and it doesn't look like Futoku no Guild got licensed outside of a few countries and SEA.

Crunchyroll is weird when it comes to showing a certain number of "?"'s left for the season. They may surprise us with several more in the future. I have my eye on Arknights for this. Also, I believe Dummy Head Mic is produced by Suiseisha, so Ascendent Animation will license and I don't know where exactly it will stream, probably Coolmic.

I say Netflix will get it. It just won't be simulcasted, ala how they treated the first season.

I hope someone gets the new Digi Charat as I've actually been looking forward to that. Does Sentai still own the previous seasons? They're no longer on HiDive.

The SD Blu-ray for all of what Sentai has for Di Gi Charat is still in-print.

As I unfortunately found out when trying to procure convention screening permissions for a couple of titles in that position (not streaming on HiDive anymore, but discs still available at Sentai's store), having the discs on sale on the primary market doesn't mean that the license is still active. Licenses typically have a sell-off period after they expire, when the licensee can still sell the rest of their physical inventory. That may be the case with Sentai's Di Gi Charat collection.

Cyber City Oedo is another matter entirely. I was at Central Park Media when our license to that show was running out, and for reasons I was not privy to, it didn't look like we were going to be able to renew it. CPM was struggling at the time, and the show was a decent seller (or at least, the closest thing we had to a decent seller left to release), so it was determined that we would try to wring every last penny we could out of the show: first, we would release each 40 minute episode on separate discs. Then, after some time had passed, we would release all three on a single disc, for a reasonably low price. And then we'd make a ton of them and blow them out during the six month sell-off period that comes at the end of our license term, where we're not allowed to make any more, but we can sell off what we have.

"This is called 'scorched earth.'" company president John O'Donnell told me. Basically, this way we would collect every single penny we could from the show, and there'd be enough copies floating out there to make sure fans could always get their hands on one for cheap, long after our contract (and the company itself) ended. Additionally, this was a way to really stick it to the licensor, who might be under the impression that they could pull the title, sit on it for a year, and re-sell it to another publisher for a decent up-front license fee. With the show so cheaply and freely available, nobody would bother to license-rescue it. I have no idea whether CPM actually got a decent amount of money from this strategy, as I was long gone by the time it came to fruition. But sure enough, Amazon still has "The Final Collection" in stock for $4.99 as of this writing* -- nearly seven years after CPM went out of business. I am somewhat doubtful that this tactic is used very often by any other publisher.

* Article written 10-31-18. Item is still in stock at $12.50 as of 10-4-22.

It's streaming on the official youtube channel each week and will probably go to netflix after the season is over just like last season, no biggie.

Glad to know where More Than a Married Couple is streaming! And that it'll get dubbed!

Be kind of funny to see Macy Ann Johnson play the female lead considering the Shikimori comparisons (hair color + same seiyuu).

Advantage of being a guinea pig asmr show, no English subs needed, so I'm calling that a simulcast.

Unless Crunchyroll already announced it, streaming on CR does not mean automatic English dub.
