So, it's like if Priconne was just about the Gourmet Guild and nothing else?

Have been waffling for years about trying out the manga (I read a fair amount of foodie manga already), so I'm looking forward to checking out the anime as an alternative.

Kind of random thing for Trigger to do, but okay.

Not that random considering they already animated the commercial in 2019: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KgaqDRaUCy0&feature=emb_title |

Forgot that Trigger did the commercial. Still, doesn't seem like their normal kind of title. . .
Read most of the manga available in English on this one, and I'm rather surprised it took this long to get adapted but pleased that it finally did. The series does have a slow-developing plot, but it would take multiple seasons to get to the beef of it, so what's likely to be animated will be a foodie-themed fantasy adventure framed by an overall goal to rescue someone left behind in a dungeon. The creative recipes (how to use slimes in cooking, for instance), some interesting world-building mechanics, and a fun cast are all plusses. |

Studio trigger and slice of life cooking show with occasional fantasy difficulties.. I did not expect that combination. I guess we can expect some very over the top cooking animations.

With the manga entering it's final arc, it was bound to get an anime adaptation.
Now everyone will get to see a breakdancing Elf! |

I guess the reason they took this long really was because they're waiting for the manga to be done. IIRC it's gonna end in the next couple of months.
Great news though! |

Trigger wouldn't have been my first guess or choice as to a studio, but they did a great job on the commercial, and thinking about some of their stuff I think it could definitely work well. So pretty excited to see this finally getting it's long deserved anime adaption.

A dungeon-crawler where the heroes eat the monsters... the question is, did they accidentally make a manga/anime about Nethack, or was it on purpose?
