This was more of a surprise than the Persona ports on Switch. The port looks a little bit rough but it's still impressive that a PS4/XOne game can run on the console (perhaps Nintendo should hurry their next console already). A lot of people were worried that this would be another Cloud version, but it's running natively on the Switch. Square-Enix sure traumatized a lot of people with their Kingdom Hearts Cloud ports, now a lot of people are wondering how NieR got a native port but KH didn't, my theory is that SE could have made KH 1, 2 and DDD to run natively on Switch but not KHIII, but they wanted to include III since it still is a popular game, not to mention that they wanted something to release alongside Sora's appearance in Smash and just for consistency they decided to made the 4 games Cloud versions.

Ironically, Automata weren't even had a constant framerate on the base/Slim PS4, at least on its release - so it make it extra.

Nice for Switch players! Anyway, I hope the new content makes its way into the other consoles/PC too.

Not sure but some of those Costumes could be Nintendo theme so they wouldn't come to the other systems/PC. One of the masks looks like it came from Pokemon Legends: Arceus but I'm not 100% on that because that's a common Japanese Folklore mask look.

I don't know much about NieR Automata, except for all of the fanart that there's of 2B, so I never watch too much gameplay on other consoles but the game didn't look that graphically intensive. Still, I think Platinum Games confirmed that the game will run at 1080 docked and 720 in portable mode running at 30 FPS, I don't know if that's true but we'll see. Also, it seems like the game's files is only 10 GB while on Xbox it was 45 GB, so they must have compressed it a lot.

More likely it was because the game runs on Platinum's own in-house engine, which also runs on Switch, so a port is less complicated.
