The article might want to add that they've set up a Kickstarter page which allows overseas fans to contribute
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mononoke15th/mononoke-movie

More details can be found on the 15th anniversary website:

The original series was great and had wonderful, unique art style. I recommend everyone to check it out.

Wow! A Mononoke anime movie was not an announcement I ever expected to see, but I'm very glad to read that this is going to happen. I loved that show.

Yessss. Mononoke is hands down one of the best anime I’ve ever seen and Sakurai is brilliant as Medicine Seller. I’m so happy we’re getting a movie!

The anime is streaming on Crunchyroll and other streaming services.

FTR, it’s not anymore. The only place you can legally watch Mononoke online now is to purchase the individual episodes from YouTube or google play.

Some days, I am happy with this timeline. Would be great if we could get a U.S. screening, but I’ll accept any timely release. Mononoke is definitely an all-time TV favorite.

What a gloriously unexpected surprise! Mononoke was one of the great hidden gems of anime in the 00s. Very few anime have an art style as memorably unique as it. I definitely won't say no to more Medicine Seller.

Good news. I've enjoyed all of Kenji Nakamura's work, and he seems to have had a low profile in recent years. The most recent credit I found was Gatchaman Crowds: Insight from 2015 (also a really good anime). Mononoke will look great on a big screen, and I look forward to more work from Nakamura.

It's available on Viewster. Viewster doesn't seem to have an independent website or apps, but it's available on Amazon Prime Video and The Roku Channel. In both places, it costs $3.99/month with a seven day free trial.

I actually searched on Crunchyroll to make sure that phrase was correct, and Crunchyroll gave me results of episodes of the series so I thought it was still on there. But I see now when I click on the individual episodes Crunchyroll gives a 404 error. It must have been a weird disconnect between the www and beta versions of Crunchyroll. I've updated the article, thank you.

Very happy to see more Mononoke being made, as I loved the original series. Also, while it may not be as regularly available via streaming right now, Cinedigm's DVD boxset from 2014 is still available for cheap, and since it uses Siren Visual's subs it's a good release.

Fantastic news. Easily one of the most visually inventive anime ever made, each frame looks like it could have come from a centuries-old paper shade. Really cool stuff, looking forward to this for sure!
