There's also a very, very, very well-hidden blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment during that stream that confirms the first 12 episodes are gonna released that day, something like (EP.1 ~ EP.12). It's shown during the credits stuff after the voice actresses finish their conversation.
EDIT: found it: https://twitter.com/anime_jojo/status/1457888243739885568 On the other hand, I just can't stop being happy for this announcement, and I've been waiting for this since 2012, when this whole thing started. I just can't wait!!! |

I really want to be happy and get excited but it feels way too good to be true for the english dub to be releasing at the same time

It is nothing new. Most funimation shows and netflix shows have simuldubs. Its what is normal now. |

The one nitpick I have is with the hair color of Jolyne's mom in the locket. In the manga she's more of a red head while the anime made it blonde

There's a great video by Hamonbeat that talks about this. The character colors of Jo Jo are not by Arraki. He has said there is no color pallete that is final for any of the characters. The colored manga also is not 100% accurate either. So the anime is just as accurate as the manga is. |

I can''t help but feel happy and proud for David Productions!
When they got the JoJo rights i doubt even they thought how things will turn out to be! Right now in the PV we see the slickest animation we have seen in JoJo for years! This means that the Netflix distribution deal helped a lot on that! Many people give the hard shoulder on netflix but i think this was actually a huge reward for David Productions. Knowing how hard it is for animators right there i hope they get paid well for what they do! They have great shows and they deserve the best! Also a deal like that might ensure Part 7 in 3-4 years? I know that's a strong Hopium right there but i can't be more proud and happy! December 1st can't come fast enough! |

I'm glad they have adapted this far, usually with titles like this you would expect only a few parts to be adapted and that to be the end of it. But they might make it all the way up to where the Manga currently is. I just wish it was coming out else where, I'm not paying £120 a year when they hardly have anything good to watch, and what is is usually available elsewhere.

I don't know about the English dub but there's already a trailer dubbed in Neutral Spanish and Jotaro is voiced by the same actor who voiced him in Golden Wind, curiously Jotaro's voice actor, Irwin Dayaan, already voiced Rohan in the OVA. Jolyne, on the other hand, is voiced by the actress who voices Hinata Hyuga in Naruto and Rem in Re:Zero. |

It's going to be weird bingeing JoJo instead of watching it weekly on Friday's, but it'll be a nice way to kick off December.
There's also an English dub trailer that I think you can see through the Netflix app. From the sounds of it Kira Buckland finally gets to officially play Jolyne and Casey Mongillo is playing Emporio. Matt Mercer is, of course, back as Jotaro. |

So likely 4 drops of 12 each in the end. Neat.

I think the second drop would be around mid-March 2022, assuming Netflix keeps count of the japanese TV broadcast that starts in January. |

Unless they release the next batch of Stone Ocean In April and every 4 months (ala Kuroko's Basketball, Carole & Tuesday) over 3 months like how they are doing it with Pokemon Journeys, Great Pretender and Edens Zero. |

I think Netflix is giving it priority as a worldwide release, so maybe mid-March is more accurate. Edens Zero sat in Netflix Jail for 6 months because it was released as a Japanese exclusive first, so that doesn't count as an example. |

I'm not the best judge of animation but I was just thinking about this after reading all the staff credits and I would say the animation only ever dipped in Part 4. Part 5 was immaculate with its art and thinking about every big animated moment, I would say it wasn't just manga accurate, but improved on the manga for a lot of perspectives and pans for most of the fights. Meanwhile, Part 1-3 are known for having tons of still shots that supposedly "pay homage" to the manga, but had tons of hit and misses with that ethos. While Part 4 did look messy but at least it tried to be ambitious in some fights to try to be as animated as possible. I'd rather messy animation over faithful still shots, but it shouldn't matter anyway because I thought Part 5 was perfectly adapted as I said. I doubt this being on Netflix will actually affect the animation quality. Sure, they sat on these 12 episodes for months, but am I supposed to believe that if not for the pandemic then we could've gotten the show before last April? I doubt it. Guess we'll have to just wait and see how drastic the animation has changed when the anime fully releases. |
