Hey, if they get Ryuki, can we finally get a shout factory rerelease of dragon knight? It is arguably way better than power rangers, and Japan released an expanded novel of it that finished the series.

Quote: | The 2002 series is the third in the long-running franchise to be aired in the Heisei era. It is particularly beloved among Kamen Rider fans for its grittier themes and for its parallels to the Puella Magi Madoka Magica anime series. |
Surprised that this gets mentioned, but the article didn't go one step further to say that Gen Urobuchi wrote both series hence the parallels. Also left out that this series is the one that the failed American adaptation Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight was based on.
A lot of people love Ryuki, but I'm not one of them. Among my issues, I find the suits to be the worst in the franchise because I hate the vent aesthetic for the masks. They don't really look like Kamen Riders to me.
But hey, any stateside Kamen Rider release of this magnitude is a big deal so I'm quite happy this is a thing. That said, I'll be over in the Zero-One waiting room.

Actually not. Gen Urobuch wrote Kamen Rider Gaim (2013-2014) which is more like Madoka than Ryuki. He did say he like Ryuki though.

Ah! You are 100% correct & 1000 humble apologies for getting all my facts mixed up.
I did some digging, and part of my confusion stemmed from many believing that Ryuki was the main inspiration for Gaim, but according to Gen Urobuchi himself it was actually the rivalry between Kamen Rider Black & Shadow Moon.
Again, sorry for trying to correct and getting my facts wrong.

Twitch is like the most inconvenient and worst way to ever watch a TV series.

I'm glad to see Ryuki getting a release like this!

It did have a pretty rockin' theme song, which is probably one of the best parts of Dragon Knight.

You don't go to twitch to watch the show. You go there to witness the shitposting. At least that's what I remember when there was that two-week Power Rangers stream.

I hope the subtitles for the tokushoutsu release are better than the synopsis provided in the article, which I've seen far too often with tokusatsu shows. If I read that not having seen the show beforehand, I guess I'd be able to understand what the show is about, but it's so awkwardly phrased in places. I've seen this with the Ultraman releases as well. The one provided for the Geed blu ray might as well be gibberish.
I know these shows are a niche, but surely quality control still matters? Why is this acceptable?

Plus Japan has their own DVD releases of Dragon Knight, in 2 box sets and 10 singles, with both audio options so it's not like the materials for that is lost or anything.
