But will the MC be the androgynous shrimp from the games, or the rather impressive hunk from the manga? It'd be kinda neat to see an anime go its entire run without gendering the on-screen protagonist.

Well this is interesting. AFAIK, the game is a collab between Disney and Aniplex.
Wonder who will handle the streaming and home video release (if any, heh) in the NA? Funi & CR (read: Sony) might be a longtime player in anime industry, but this is THE Disney we're talking about. After Visions, surely they could smell money in anime. |

It's a joseimuke game, not an otome. 
He appears at the end of some of the episodes in thr main story. So far he doesn't play a major role, but he does make some appearances. I hope this doesn't end up as an exclusive on Disney+ JP. Disney Japan really likes to keep their stuff domestic so crossing my fingers it ends up on at least Disney+ worldwide. Preferably CR or Funi so those who don't have Disney+ can still watch it since they don't require subscriptions. |

As a girl. As a huuuuuuge Disney fan (A.K.A I worked there).
F. no. This game is freaking cringe. Like any otome or stuff like this where the unatural boys are suppose to be hot. Once upon a time made a way better job taking the characters out of their story. Haven't played any Kingdom heart but i'm pretty sure it does too. |

An anime about Disney villain Bishonen's on Disney+ is honestly not that surprising (compared to some of the other other Disney+ anime announcements).

I'm curious, did you play the game? From what I heard, it's not otome. You don't date any of the characters. It's more on the lines of Ensemble Stars!, A3!, and Touken Ranbu, where you play a central role in interacting and helping them but not dating them. |
